1. Always Start with an Excellent Skincare Regimen

Having a good skincare routine that you can follow daily is the secret to a flawless no-makeup makeup look. By maintaining a healthy and naturally glowing skin, you only need a few makeup items to further enhance your beauty.

While there are many products that you can use to achieve flowing skin, the most importance thing to remember when picking up items is to stick with products that work wonders for you.

Start with a good cleanser to remove impurities from the skin. Ingredients that are meant to gently exfoliate the skin and detoxify the pores are good cleaners to consider. Always choose a cleanser that is ideal for your skin type.

Exfoliation is a critical component to any skin are. You need to exfoliate at least once a week to remove deep-seated dirt and pollutants from the skin.

The use of an exfoliating cleanser or mask is especially important if you wear makeup every day. Pick an exfoliating product that contains natural moisturising ingredients to hydrate the skin from deep within.

2. Do not Forget to Protect your Skin from Harmful UV Rays

Never skimp on SPF protection. It’s one of the most important parts of your skincare routine. To slow down the process of ageing and external stressors, it’s best to apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 protection.

Choose a sunscreen that is lightweight and deliver a sheer coverage. This type of sunscreen formulation will also make it easy for you to layer it under makeup.

You may also opt for dual-purpose skincare essentials, such as moisturisers with SPF. Daily use will protect your skin from free radical damage, hence reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

3. Prime your Face

Primer is extremely helpful if you’re aiming for minimal makeup. The consistency of a good primer will help in smoothening the skin and create a perfect base for other makeup products. Additionally, primers are formulated to make your makeup last longer and brighten the skin for that glowing finish.

4. Go East on Foundation Coverage

A light and sheer coverage complements the natural makeup look. Consider replacing your standard medium to coverage foundation with a tinted moisturiser, BB, or CC cream.

Additionally, lighter coverage base such as BB and CC cream have added hydrating benefits, while excellently concealing imperfections such as freckles and redness. To apply, use a buffing foundation for an air bush finish or with a sponge for a dewy finish.

5. Use a Concealer Only When Needed

If you want a flawless minimal makeup but prefer to hide imperfections and dark circles, use a lightweight hydrating concealer. Blend a small amount of concealer with fingers to warm and apply in desired areas of your face.

6. Use Cream-Based Makeup

Cream formulations are easier to blend seamlessly into the skin. It delivers a more natural look than powder-based cosmetics do. After applying your base and concealer, apply a small amount of cream bonzer using a damp sponge. You may use powders to set the cream-based bronzer to ensure that it lasts an entire day.

7. Go for the Dewy Look to Enhance your Features

Adding a touch of dewiness at the high points of your face will make it look youthful and glowing. Instead of using a powder-based highlighter, choose a cream with a clear base instead.

A highlighting cream with mild sheer and shimmer will sing right into the skin and give it a natural youthful element to your skin.

8. Apply Blush Everywhere

Unless you have oily skin, try using a cream blush to achieve an effortlessly gorgeous natural makeup look, Cream blushes are formulated to easily diffuse and blend into the skin.

Unlike a traditional powder blush that can look horribly intense when applied too much or improperly, a cream blush will add just the right amount of color on your cheeks. Additionally, cream blushes are multi-purpose in that they may also be used as lipstick or a cream eyeshadow, too.

9. Natural Brows are Bold and Beautiful

Less is more when you want to follow a no-makeup makeup look. A clean and well-groomed pair of brows will be more than enough to make your entire face look polished.

To achieve this, use a brow gel and comb the hair outward and out to shape the arches. You may also use tinted brow gel, but be sure to use one that matches your natural brow color.

10. Define with a Mascara

To finish your look, apply a volumising or lengthening mascara. If you want a bolder look, you can use mascara formulations that can both increase the volume and length of your natural lashes. Correct application of mascara will eliminate the need to apply a liner on your eyelids.

If you want a more natural but defined look, you may opt for a clear mascara instead. A curler is your best friend if you simply want to brighten up the eye area without having to use a mascara.

11. Spray and Mist to Finish

Lastly, a natural makeup look isn’t complete without spraying the face with a finishing or setting spray. A setting spray is fantastic in sealing in all the products on your skin while adding a dewy finish to your look.
